Lauren Hefferan is a registered nurse and certified Whole Health Educator / Coach who supports patients with Lyme disease, diabetes, cancer and other chronic health conditions to gain back their personal health.  Lauren’s particular passion for patients with tick borne illnesses comes from her personal experience with Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella and her own struggle back to health.  In addition to educating patients on tick borne illness testing and symptoms, she offers important information on the various treatment protocols and helpful ideas on dealing with the challenging symptom flares during treatment.  As a strong immune system is extremely important in healing from Lyme, so also she offers numerous tips on boosting one’s immune system.

Lauren’s personal experience with Lyme disease and breast cancer has taught her that human compassion, thinking outside the box, and truly listening to where people are in their healing process aids them in the rebirth of their health. She incorporates her Whole Health knowledge into every session and helps guide people in their healing journey by teaching them how to clear negative energy from their life, eat healthily, be mindful, reduce stress and live life to its fullest.

Lauren is a graduate of the New England School of Whole Health and is a Certified Diabetic Educator through the National Certification Board for Diabetic Educators.  She has a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology and is a Registered Nurse.  She currently is on staff at a local hospital working as a nurse in the cardiac unit, as well as a diabetic educator in the hospital’s diabetes clinic.  Lauren’s past experiences also include being the Northeast Lyme Disease Educator, a position funded by a Massachusetts state grant, which involved educating doctors, nurses, schools and the public at large about Lyme disease and other tick borne illnesses.  She has also spent time as a personal trainer, spinning instructor, aerobics instructor and coach of the Newburyport High school varsity field hockey team for eight years.  On her time off she enjoys boating, skiing, walking and family time.
